I lost my Serial cable for my pronto. I tried the one from my MX-700, but it would not work. Is the pinout different?

Yes. RX and TX are reversed on the MX cable. If your feeling froggy you can cut the cable in half, Match Black to Black, then revers the Orange and Red leads to make a Pronto Cable....

If you still need help, here is the pin out on the pronto cable.

Impaqt, tried it today, it worked like a charm . I have tons of MX cables around, so I didn't have a problem sacrificing one.

I saw your reply and I have lost my RC5000 cable. I have a dozen or so MX-700 cables. I cut one of them and all that's in there is a ground and a red and white. Can I still make a cable for the RC5000? Please let me know. [email protected]

Forget it. I made it by reversing the cables I had. No need to respond.
